GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Graduates of the postgraduate program “Strength Analysis for the Aerospace Industry” acquire both fundamental and specialized knowledge in strength analyses typical for aerospace structures (aircraft and aircraft engines). This includes topics such as:
- strength of materials (including fundamentals of finite element analysis (FEA) as well as different types of materials – metallic and composite),
- design of aerospace structures such as aircraft and aircraft engines,
- material fatigue,
- vibrations and nonlinear analyses,
- basics of scripting for post-processing results,
- testing of aerospace structures.
Completion of the program provides knowledge about the operation of gas turbine aircraft engines, their limitations, as well as design and testing methods. The acquired knowledge and skills enable better preparation for work in aerospace engine companies, particularly in design and analytical departments, both in ongoing operations and in research and development (R&D).
Classes are partially taught by professionals from the local industry, presenting the practical aspects of working as a strength analysis engineer in the aerospace sector.
